Brief Personal History
  Yun Soo Myung

    Currently a professor in the School of Computer Aided Science at Inje University, Dr. Yun Soo Myung also    served as director of the Office of Planning and Communications during the 1997-98 academic year. He    began work at the university as an assistant professor in the Physics Department in 1989, and from 1990 to    1997 he was director of the university's Institute of Desktop Publishing, a position in which he trained over    700 students to work in related industries. He was previously a guest scholar with the Kyoto University    RIMS(1988­89), and from 1987 to 1989 he worked as an assistant professor in the Physics Department of    POSTECH.
   Professor Myung is the son of Yong Yun and Yun Ye Choi and was born in Sinan-gun, Chonnam, Republic    of  Korea, on 9 October 1959. Now married to Jung Myung Bae and the father of Sung Min and Ji Hyun, he    graduated from Sogang University with a Bachelor of Science in physics in 1981. He continued his studies    at the K.A.I.S.T., earning his M.S. in physics in 1983 and his Ph.D. in physics in 1987. During this time he    became an member of the Korea Physical Society, with later memberships in the American Physical Society    and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He has continued his research work on    D-dimensional  cosmology, the stability of 4D Black Hole, the D-brane Black Hole, greybody factors in    correspondence, and Randall-Sundrum brane world with his findings published in over one hundred papers    In  professional journals and reviews. In recognition of his work, he was chosen as an annual referee for    Classical and Quantum Gravity from 1997 to present. Also, he became the first person that has gotten Ph.D.    from K.A.I.S.T. only for two-years from 1985 to 1987.
